Magnifying glass me an iron?

Well my iron just fell apart literally.

I was just going to buy the cheapest iron i could find. Then i thought about consulting OcUK, so here are a few questions:

• Should i look at spending a little more money on my next iron?
• Are there any special features i should pay over the odds for?
• Roughtly how much am i looking at, a quick froogle shows i can get an iron for sub £20

You'd think wouldn't you, but this lot got me to spend £60 odd (or more) on a toothbrush! Hell it's worth it though. So i thought i might as well ask before i buy one over the weekend.

Also, it's pointless spending money on a good iron if you've got a crappy ironing board!

Thats a good point, any suggestions?
I'm assuming i should steer clearl of the JML super cloth?

Those steam generator irons looks pretty good actually. Like the ones here.

If you can afford a steam generated and have the space for it then go for it, I don't think there is much that can beat it - although I believe there are some types of clothes that you shouldn't use steam for.

I'm guessing if need be though i could just turn the steam off?

You see once again OcUK have made me part with a little more money than i would have, hopefully for the better!
