Who knows anything about this band members etc.

i rang a good friend last night while at work. and was talking about the come back of the band with having a new guitarist asking if he had any slots he could give us nothing to big atm, just some support slots. and he mentioned one member, or a few of them are coming to doncaster to do a show, and he could get us on the support. which i thought nothing of til i rang the singer and he seemed over the moon.

From what people have told me there very well known?

the thing is i dont know who magnum are?

never heard of them bud, any ideas genre/style?

googled it and loads of bands called magnum turned up. Take your pick

lets hope. been offered the support anyway, gonna get a phone call within the next few days. with arrangements. tis about time we started gigging again on a bigger scale

Magnum were a fairly big AOR/soft rock band back in the 80's, if you can get a support slot with them you'd get some good exposure I'd assume

I've seen Magnum at least 70 (oops typo - 20 times) times.
During the 70's they supported everybody from Judas Priest to Queen and we used to walk into a gig, ask who was supporting and more than often pull a face because it was bloody Magnum again.
We called them "Always the bridesmaids, never the bride" because they never did their own tour.
However, they were a tremendous band, had some great tunes and were more in the prog rock circle.
I'll see if I can be bothered to string a taster MP3 together.

i'm struggling with my crap laptop to find my prime example, but it's a picture of the band stood on some moor/heathland somewhere
other than the real photo ones i'd say they had fairly similar artwork to yes
