This is me feeling the upgrade time itch coming:
So, I know that there are some multi-socket magny-cours systems here (either built or in process of being built), but I was wondering what the DC camps verdict on whether a 8 core Bulldozer will be worth it or not, as I don't really feel like I want to start hunting for G34 parts.
I mean for us we do stress all our cores 100% almost all of the time; so a 8 core bulldozer will still output more points/credits than a phenom x6 no? even if it does crunch them slightly slower, and for a bit more power? or is the instruction set up so screwed that it'll return less than a phenom x6?
Mind you, I'm still running 2x Q6600s and 1x 920, so in general my architecture can do with some general upgrading methinks.
