Mahousive build !!

Hi guys
Need your help on this one. Basically I work for a primary school as a IT technician and now its summer time its also order lots and lots of parts and pc’s time. But the reseller the school use is a bit of a jerk around and im looking for something new.

We have a budget of £400 including vat per machine. X 40
The school is being supplied with fujitsu pc’s at this price. There spec is :

E4600 2.4Ghz
1gb ddr2 Ram
Small form factor cases.

Just wondering if we can beat this here at OC? much better then dealing with a company idont know. I’ve specked something up but can you guys help and spec me up something too ? that would be better or competitive ??
But remember has to be small form factor cases. And im sure if im ordering 40 X everything we can sort something out with OC’s. so its bascily a buddget speck me thread x 40 lol
lets hope oc have the parts, i'll give them a call if we spec something good later on today.

just a base unit yes? no monitor or operating system? keyboard and mouse?

yeah sorry should have mentioned that lol, yeah just base units please. would i be better going for some of the prebuilt bundles ??. some of then look ace this week.

These are nifty little systems.

For a primary school you dont need gfx or anything like that.
If you dont need monitors or OS then these little things come with an i3 dual core and I hear these pack a punch.

Edit: These also contain DDR3 RAM and are 380 a unit. If you bought 40 in bulk surely OC could give you a deal?

Do you need an OS with these?

the AMD spec build at the top come £70 under budget even with Win 7 home premium.

If you dont need an OS then go for the i3 Primo ignition further down.

Either way they'll be cracking systems.

Do you need those optical drives? At my college, none of the machines had any drives at all, could cut cost down a little.

yeah im sure they will, ive just enquired about 15 samsung monitors, but i think the pc's are now a no go. my Boss wants to by branded machines that cost more and are not even half as good as Oc stuff :'(
they dont listen, dont even know why they ask for opinions sometimes lol
oh well thanks for the effort guys, really appreciate it even if my boss's don't.
putting in a order from some new watercolling parts later so theres a bright side to my day at least.
