mail delivery

I have something being delivered either tomorrow or saturday, however im not going to be in because im working.

If i put a note on the door telling them to send the package to my local post office so i can pick it up for 50p would they do it? Obviosuly they will post the note and i will take the note to the PO and pay 50p for pickup.

I dont want to have to ring their crappy re-delivery system because i wont get it until monday or tuesday

theyl automaticallly take it back to your local sorting office or post office anyway

you just go and collect it from there , taking with you the card the postman will leave and some ID

wheres the 50p came from ?

I don't think so, all you do is phone up once you have the fail delivery thing a nd ask for it to be sent to your nearest PO.

Instead of the sorting office, you can get it sent to any PO for a small charge. Or at least a PO in that area.

I usually leave a note on the door saying leave parcel behind gate and sign it, as long as it isn't really something valuable.

It would cost almost the same price as the item to collect it in taxi from my sorting office.

Ill try a note saying to sign and put in back garden. although maybe not because someone will probably see the note and nick it. not worth much anyway but id not be happy if someone nicked it
