Hi,

Im running Windows 7 and have 3 user accounts (myself, my partner and my kids). I have installed windows live mail and set it to auto start minimised.

Obviously i dont want this to auto load for my kids as they are only 5 and 3 but when i delete mail from the startup folder in the kids user folder it stops my mail auto loading on my user account.

How do i do it so it does auto load minimised on mine and my partners but not load at all on my kids?

How are you going about deleting it? Just opening the Start Menu and deleting it that way, or actually going to "C:\Users\Kids\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu" and deleting it that way? If it's the first method, you're probably removing it from the All Users Start Menu, which is shared by every account on the machine.

Could you clarify?

As JHeaton said, you need to remove it from the "All Users" Startup folder and have the shortcut only in yours and your partners Startup folder.

To access your own Startup folder, Start > All Programs > Startup. Right Click and Open.

Do the same again but select "Open All Users".

Cut the shortcut from the All Users Startup and place it on a flash drive. Then copy this shortcut to YOUR Startup folder. Log into your partners account and place the 2nd copy there.
