hi guys,

just wondering, how do you all do your mail signatures?

i've noticed that if i use an image, then people who use outlook and the like temd to get the signature as an attachment...

if i use an html based one, the layout doesn't seem very trustworthy and its a bit fiddly to set up with apple mail...

so how does everyone do it?

don't use HTML in email. Send and view in plain text so people downloading your message don't have to wait for the pretties when they only care about your content!

Code:
Jasper
Phone: <removed>
Web: <removed>

not really worried about that matey, the image in my sig is 4kb and is a logo... that'd be alright even on dialup!

I've got the solution, basically:

1) use inline css (not embedded or linked)

2) use img tags (not css background imagery - this is for the benefit of gmail)

and thats it really :) - good article on it here: http://allforces.com/2006/04/14/css-signatures/
