Mailbox's in exchange 2007

A mailbox needs to be created, but it won't need an associated user account. I simply need a mailbox, that will be accessed by a number of people from within their own profile. I have the options of 'user mailbox', 'room mailbox', 'equipment mailbox' and 'linked mailbox'. Can someone tell me which of these is suitable?

room mailbox will usually suffice.

Creates a user which is automatically disabled once the mailbox is created. From there on in, go down the usual permissions route in order to allow more people access to it.
