I am wanting to set up a series of email Directories or email lists that could run from 15 addresses on the list up to hundreds.

The idea is to mail out on mass on a regular basis to specific groups.

I need to consider how I can keep the list blind & stop someone clicking reply all and replying to everyone on the list.

Any ideas?

BCC is blind carbon copy, it stops you seeing who the email was sent to.

That does not neccessarily mean you can't 'reply to all' and all BCC recipients receive it.

You've helped me a lot in the past mate, but please think about your posts before trying to be clever.

Ok cool, and sorry marc if my comment was seemed rude.

I have been in an organisation where their reply to all BCC replied to everyone. Not sure how they had it set up, but they did.

Next question then.

Is there a way I can allow a normal user to create these distrubution groups like some sort of AD snap in?

Thanks

ie for more than 1 user to be able to access it?
Then the easiest route would be using public folders (if you are using exchange 2000-2003). Create a public folder Contacts item and give the relavent users access to it

No, probably just one user to create a distribution group in AD. I assume I can give him the snap in and then the priveledges to change just these distribution groups?
