Main wiring ?

the psu main wire and the main power connector on the board match up, however they dont seem of equal length when i try to plug them in ? I also have a 4 pin adaptor on the same wire, but there isnt anywhere to plug this in ?

things never go right do they ive managed to plug my gtx in etc and now i cant get power to the motherboard

can i confirm which was round the adaptor is supposed to go and what to do with the 4 pin adaptor ?

i should have photod it when i took it off, lol

i am guessing you are referring to the 20/24pin motherbaord main power connector?

If so, your 24 pin power connector will fit the 20 pin motherboard. you jsut leave the extra 4 pins hanging on the end.

That is what i am assuming.

Also, you have a seperate 4 pin power plug? This is confusing, as normally this will be attahced to the 20-pin connector as well.

Some older gen motherboards have a 4 pin connector also on the motherboard. normally around the cpu socket area. newer boards have this as an eight pin connector.

Hope this helps!
