Dumb question, How do you find out, what the max CPU i can have in a mainboard?
Example: my mainboard is a striker extreme, running a 3Ghz core,
how would i find out if it could handle a lets say the 3.33Ghz Without asking people?

You have to look on the motherboard manufacturers website for the cpu support list. You'll need to know the eaxct name of the motherboard. It should tell you what CPU's are supported and with what bios version. You might have to update your bios prior to fitting the new chip.

Thanks for replying to both of my threads ^^,
Assuming i'm using Rev 1.0 (brought it 2yrs ago or so) i should be able to put a 2.8Ghz AMD in my "mothers" new mainboard ^^
