My family is moving back to Norway after 17 years in the UK. They've obviously got many long term connections to the UK, many of which they don't want to lose permanently (phone contracts, credit cards, bank accounts, driver's licence etc etc). There is a good chance they will at some point return to the UK and so they want to maintain a presence here to which they can refer all their UK connections.
Can this be done with a PO Box or something similar which can be purchased/rented?
I know certain things are invalidated when you don't have a permanent UK address (a DVLA issued licence, for example, becomes invalid), but it would be a pain in the backside to have to sever a lot of these ties only to have to re-establish them in the future.
