got my upgrade this morning so i decided to put it together... all went well swapped the processor into the new board. put the graphics and ram in.

loaded to windows fine...

installed the drivers and now it wont boot. it gets to the windows loading screen and restarts....

HELP ME!

I think its just driver issues.. as it boot into safe mode no problem. do i have to re-install windows? i dont mind doing this just would rather not

at college at the min will try when i get home.. should it not still work. just wont be dual channel?

maybe boot in with safe mode and uninstall all the drivers ....

then reboot and see if it loads back up and lets you install them again.

Put the RAM in the orange slots. DFI's are very fussy when it comes to RAM and this is likely to be the cause of your problems.

Its because of drivers and that you have a new mobo etc.
Oh, was this a new mobo attempt at moving windows? :p - well that is surely the problem and it will be a right PITA to get windows running against. Just reinstall, it is worth it.

Orange slots??? i'll give it a go.. JUST got windows back on it was giving me loads of hastle.. so i will try the orange.. see what happens thanks for the help
