Major graphics problem - please help.

For about 4 years I've had no problems with two 24" monitors both on 1920 resolution but from this morning my left one doesn't want to play ball in Windows.

So on bootup

And then Windows

Here's some settings showing my left monitor which is greyed out and it won't detect -

I can get the left one working by putting the Multiple Displays on 'Show Desktop only on 1" but the right monitor goes off -

I can get both displays on if I put Multiple Displays on 'Duplicate These Displays"

I've installed the drivers with no luck.

ANY IDEAS?

Use windows key and P, try selecting extend desktop. Does that work?

I was just reading that on a Windows help page when your reply came.
Yes it is back to normal, thank you.

I wonder what went wrong?

probably a windows update that screwed with the display settinigs.
