ASRock AMD Phenom(tm) II X4 840 Processor 3.21 Ghz

Nvidia GeForce 9800GT

Arctic Cooling Freezer Xtreme CPU Cooler (Socket LGA775/AM2+/AM2/939)

Corsair XMS3 DDR3 1600MHz 8GB (2X4GB) 9-9-9-24

Replaced by GeIL Black Dragon 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C11 1600MHz (after being told it was the RAM)

30GB SSD (with Windows 7 Ultimate x64 installed on)

2x Seagate 160GB HDD's

Recently my CPU fan started going super loud on boot and then slowing down after windows loaded, after about an 1-3 hours (depending on what i was doing) i had screen freeze and windows would not shut down, the screen freeze would unfreeze for a couple of seconds then freeze again, this would repeat until i would have to hard restart, also sometimes i would get blue screen after this (Driver IRQL not less than or equal) and even sometimes just black screen. After being told it was probably the RAM, i tested with one stick and it seemed to fix it, soon after i would get it again leading me to buy more RAM.

I was told it could be a faulty SSD, but surely windows would just not load at all? I clean installed windows but was getting black screen half way through, i unplugged all usb, both the HDDs, one stick of RAM and eventually my graphics card (using the onboard) for it to finally install, deleted all partitions on my drives to check 100% it was not a software problem. As soon as i did a windows update (for whatever reason) i am back to square one, screen freezing, things crashing, windows wont shut down, same blue screen error, display will just black screen on boot up sometimes (cant access bios) and also one of my HDDs stops reading properly as if its not plugged in.

I have tried so many different methods to lower the list after advice, but am no expert :(

Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks.

After windows installed, i put all my hardware back in (including graphics card) and then did windows update and tried to get my drivers installed, but then problems started again. It just seemed that windows update triggered the crashing and was not installing things properly.

Seems strange that win7 install started working after you toke gfx card out.

take gfx card out again and run on board for a while

also in the c:\windows\minidump folder should be a .dmp file with a date on it. post it up and ill examine it and show you results. should show whats casuing the issue.

After switching to onboard, windows took an abnormally long time to load, also hear strange clicking noises through my headphones while its loading

About 2 hours later using the onboard graphics i had the freezing again, sound distortion and the display went off then came back on, had to manually shutdown.

Does anyone have any ideas what to do at this point, the computer won't even load windows anymore (which is installed on my SSD)
