hi, so I bought a motherboard, Gigabyte GA-73PVM-S2H, I have connected all my hardware to it, I have burnt a copy of windows 7 to a dvd, but cant get it to load, i have changed my bios settings from first boot drive which was CDROM to Hard Disk, but nothing happens, when I try boot from the CDROM, it says "disk boot failure" then it goes on to windows repair and says it has not found any errors and it just repeats, does anyone know what could be the problem?

also I have tried about 4 different CD/DVD drives.

My specs are currently:
Intel Pentium Dual CPU E2160 @ 1.80GHz
2Gb Kingston Ram (2x1Gb) - Kingston 9905399-003A00LF 1GB DIMM DDR2 PC2-4300U DDR2-534 (4-4-4-12 2-16-4-2)
Gigabyte GA-73PVM-S2H Motherboard
Nvidia Geforce 7600GS 512MB

Thanks, help is very appreciated.

Quick question, can i install windows 7 from a USB stick? it has the ISO on the stick?

Yep, that's perfectly possible. If you follow this guide here to prepare your USB stick. After you have completed the steps in the that guide, extract the contents of the ISO file using a program like WinRAR and then copy the extracted files onto the USB stick.

Note: Be careful with the "Clean" command. Make sure you have selected the correct drive, the one you wish to install Windows 7 from.

Thanks very much guys, I really do mean it, is there not a rep button or thank you button

Nope, if you really mean it you'll have to get a tattoo of our usernames on your face and post the pics. Just don't claim to have fallen asleep in the tattooist's chair if you don't like it. ;)
