Hi, ok so a week ago I started having bsod, the error msg's led me to believe there was a driver issue somewhere. After updating the drivers it still on occasion occured, now a friend of mine suggested a clean install. So of course in my stupidity I started a clean install now it starts installing and gets between 60 and 80% then it will bsod and rinse and repeat. It obviously isnt a driver issue as there isnt any after format. Im now stuck with a useless pc. Any advice please im completely flummoxed?

Disconnect any drives etc. Just try and get into the BIOS. Reset the BIOS to optimal settings (this will remove any CPU/RAM overclock). Connect drive (all disconnecting and re-connecting should take place with PC and PSU switched off, obviously). Try again.

If no joy, remove one of the RAM sticks (are there two/more)? Try again. Try with only the other stick if needed.

If still no joy, enter BIOS and try adding a little Vcore voltage to CPU = 0.025v. Try again.

Also, post your full system and OS specs for better feedback on the issue.

Thank u for your reply this is my build as best as I can show you as using a rubbish phone. Would doing the bios reset not megate the overclockers work on my system? https://www.overclockers.co.uk/gren....2ghz-eight-core-gaming-bundle-bu-169-oe.html

If it's an OcUK built system then talk to their staff. Having said that, removing any overclock is the least of your worries. They can either provide you with the settings, if they have them, or you can ask for advice on a new overclock. But do talk to them to see what they advise.
