Anyone else got a useless mouse this morning? Multiple posts on Reddit. This is not good.

Looks to be a cert expiry perhaps, since rolling back system date seems to fix it.

EDIT - this looks to be an expired certificate which the software uses.

Artile with a link to the fix:

You're a brave man installing the Logitech software on your machine. :D

I'm a massive fan of Logitech (typing this on an MX Keys and pointing with a G502 Lightspeed) but their software chorkles balls.

IMO we should not be in a situation where mouse functions are reliant on some cloud service.
I understood it to be the certificate they use to sign their code expiring - so it's not a cloud thing, it's a local security thing.

I had numerous issues with Logi options, but over the past year I switched to some offline only version of logi options and its been fine.

I found the scroll wheel on my MX master 3 acting like garbage yesterday, so fired up logi options+ only to get a spinning circle of doom when the program "opened".

One quick google to get a download turned up the posts on reddit, so after following the links to the logitech site and downloading the new installer everything is back in working order (until the next time)

Had the same issue, scroll wheel on same mouse acting worse than garbage, back button on mouse not working and eventually found the fix you mention. As you say 'until next time'. Thinking of dumping the Logi software to use something else. I think Steermouse was one option?

Been using better mouse for a year plus with my MX Master 2S and MX Keys keyboard. It was rough going for a while as I couldn't get the software to work properly with this combo but I worked with the developer and he addressed some BT issues and it's been solid ever since. No more Logitech spyware!
