Major Oblivion Glitch - missing item

I accidentally clicked on Console games instead of PC games and was instantly lured to this Oblivion thread Sorry

Just go down the well naked, easy. Your stuff will still be in the street when you come back up.

I actually realised when I was at the bottom of the well that my alteration wasn't high enough so I worked it up at the bottom of the well, thank God for water breathing

In the end I realised I could just ditch a bunch of equipment and come back for it later.

No one seems to be grasping this, the problem isn't getting the ring out. I think everyone now understands there are about five ways to do it... The problem is when the corpse is gone because this game wasn't playtested properly.

I was fine I did as suggested and went down naked, using a potion of water breathing I'd previously made, and got the ring, and the other item down the well (the plant) in plenty of time
