hi all,
about 2 weeks ago i got my new i7 build...
i7 930
x58A UD3R Gigabyte Motherboard
6gb corsair ram
At the weekend I got a 5850 to go with...
It's all at stock, I've not changed one thing in the bios as I haven't started overclocking it etc. It has been fine since I got it up until today when all of a sudden when I was in FL Studio the monitor when a light navy blue colour, comp froze...
restarted it and nothing, since then i have stripped everything down bar the mobo, cpu and ram.
Things I have tried :
Removing all peripherals (inc. hard drive)
trying each different ram stick in dimm 1 and 3 (mobo has 6 dimm slots)
making sure there is no contact between mobo and chassis.
tried a different graphics card which i know works in a different pcie slot.
tried a different monitor which i know works.
cleared cmos
made sure fan connectors are in... 2 x 6 pin pcie cables have been plugged in to 5850...
atx power going to mobo (fairly sure it wouldnt start without this anyway)
thats basically it. I am very disappointed, would have expected this if i was overclocking but like i say havent touched a thing...
I suppose the most likely candidates now are the mobo or cpu then... or is there anything else it could be ?
