Custom Water Kit

Right been building all weekend, took our time to make sure everything was connected correctly, dry ran the Water cooling to check for leaks overnight, and now when we come to boot to Bios the first time theres nothing, all the fans power up, the motherboard lights come on the graphics card spins, but there isnt any signal to the monitor whatsoever, no beep coming from the motherboard...

The only things that seem wrong are, should my mouse and keyboard be reciving power straight away through the USB ports (mine don't)

and the Power supply, it has the one off switch located on the back in the case, when we turn the PC on via the normal power switch and turn the switch on the PSU to off, but it does nothing

anyone got any ideas, thanks in advance

It may sound stupid, but check all the power cables are plugged in properly, 24pin and 8pin mobo.

Also, try reset CMOS, try taking the battery out over night and then putting it back in in the morning.

Thirdly, what does the LCD poster say?

right thanks for the reply but we've sorted that bit out now was the ram dimm slots we think

Now i have another problem if you can help,

when Bios first loads up it says no physical Harddrive detected, when we go into the bios, it recognises that our HDD is there (wd raptor) but windows can't find it when we first start installing...

Any help please?

You may need to slipstream the relevant drivers into your XP disc, or use a floppy if your PC has a floppy drive, as XP doesn't natively support your drivers (I think)

Its trying to look for the IDE harddrive, You need to make sure the Sata hd is not pluged into the orange slots.

As for not posting all x58 motherboards need ram in the (orange) second slots along as this is Chan A, B, C

If its a new HDD just change the setting in bios from IDE to SATA, or RAID if thats what youre going to use, however if you're trying to use an old HDD with your old installation it wont owrk, you'll have to format it and start again, if theres too much work on there you dont want to lose I suggest a new HDD for your new system install and use your existing one as a secondary drive for storage
