I would guess that this falls in to the category of here-today-gone-tomorrow type products. Unless it's from a brand with some established presence in this sector of the market, or is trending for some reason, then mags or online review sites aren't likely to want to spend a lot of time doing a full in-depth review if there's a fair chance that it might not be around too long after the review is published.
In the absence of professional reviews, Amazon customer reviews are a reasonable alternative. I tend to ignore the gushy 5-star reviews. Look at 1-star where someone isn't just complaining that the parcel arrived late or damaged. Take a view on a cross-section of higher-starred reviews. Bear in mind that some people are easily pleased and others expect the world on a plate. Remember too, this is a £100 product with a CD player built-in. It's not a huge amount of money for what's being offered.
