Make internet explorer default for certain websites

We use Cisco Softphone software at work which loads client details once a call is recieved. However, intranet pages only work through Internet Explorer. My default web browser is Firefox which I greatly prefer.

Is there a way I can specify the website generated by the Softphone software to open in internet explorer (not default) rather than Firefox? Its a bit annoying missing client details and having to sift through a log rather than just having it open automatically.

I thought about some kind of IE addin for Firefox, however I can't think of a way to automate the process. I suspect this would have to be done at the softphone level rather than the browser level however.

Install IE Tab and have a look at the options.

yep with IE Tab, you can specify sites which will automatically open in a IE tab.

Can you create a shortcut to it ?

I use Firefox as my main client, but when I access my works webmail access (Outlook Web Access) I get a much cut down version through Firefox. So I prefer IE for that site alone.

In order to let it open in Internet Explorer, I just create a simple shortcut on my desktop which points firstly to IE, then the website address. This ensures it works in IE.

"C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE" http://www.bbc.co.uk/

In IE tab? no you don't need to do that, I use OWA2003 and OWA2007 for work too and just set the OWA URL in IE tab and it loads in firefox in an IEtab with full functuality.

No I meant just make a shortcut on his desktop to the Cisco stuff. I will try what you are suggesting though, sounds good. Thanks.
