i installed this folding thing you guys use a few days back at someones request on here. ive just noticed that my CPU usage is at 100% due to an active FAH process but i have no window or program to display what its doing

is it supposed to do this ? when i call for cpu resources in a moment to play BF2, will it shut off and give them to me ? if so im happy to leave it running. :)

To monitor it, download and use the program called FahMon. It'll tell you what you're working on and how long until it's done. In addition to that it will give you benchmarks for all the WUs on which you've worked. Installation instructions are in the FAH sticky.

To stop the FAH process from running, be it for gaming, benchmarking, or testing (you don't want to let FAH run whilst you're stress-testing a fresh overclock) go to Start > Run > type services.msc. Scroll down to the F@H entry and click "Stop".

If you have any more questions or you'd like our help with anything at all, don't hesitate to drop into TOSAH and start a thread. :)

hehe

I have both cores on my main rig max'd out with folding..and it's my gaming rig too..

Peformance is not affected by these low priority services, so you are fine.

Likewise, my gaming rig runs 2 cores 24/7 and I never switch Folding o** before playing and I've had no problems playing any games. (IIRC my gaming rig is pretty much the same as the Admiral's, X2 4400 etc.).

Stan :)
