Make PCs visible only to ethernet not WIFI network?

Hi folks,

Not sure if this would be better in the Networking forum but here goes...

Just moved into a new office and have security problems...

I have 2 PCs - win7 Home Premium 64. Both are connected to a local private gigabit switch via ethernet cables on my desk. There are folders shared on Machine 1 so that Machine 2 can see those folders and R/W to them. Machine 1 has a WIFI adapter which connects to the office WIFI router for internet. Both machines can access the internet through this WIFI network.

When I go to Network to see what machines are visible I find that ALL of the office's machines on the WIFI network are visible to me and that both of my machines are visible on this network to everyone else as well, including my shared folders. The obvious problem here is that I don't want my shared folders (or the machines themselves, ideally) visible on the WIFI network - ONLY the local ethernet network.

So, TLDR: I need my folders from Machine 1 (and Machine 1 itself) to be visible to Machine 2 on the local ethernet network but for NEITHER Machine 1 nor Machine 2 to be visible to the WIFI network, but ALSO for the internet to work (via the WIFI).

Any ideas how to do this? Windows 7 64-bit Home Premium on both machines.

Basically a security nightmare...!

Cheers,

Good man! I think permissions is the way I need to do this. No idea why that didn't occur to me already.... I'll create a unique account purely for local ethernet sharing. Then use my normal account to access the WIFI. Should work.. I have no access to the router so I can't do anything at that end.

I'll give this a shot when I'm next in.

Cheers :)
