Yo guys,

I'm looking to make my own case for my PC. I wanted a Silverstone style case but my motherboard won't fit and I don't need to upgrade as I the rig is decent enough and I have just bought myself a laptop thats pretty good too.

I would like a retro looking case, like an old fashioned amp deck for a stereo but don't know the implications of making a case out of one.

Can anyone recommend me a non-pc case with retro feel that would accomodate an 939 64 style mobo?

I'm looking at stuff like this:

Ok. I think I am going to go ahead and buy this broken amp from ebay.

I reckon that my abit av8 will fit in it. I am going to have an external DVDROM on my desk so that will leave a lot of room spare, and I only have 1 HDD inside. I can't think of any reason why my other cards won't fit either. I will probably have to add some fans at some point, but all that needs to be sorted when I get hold of the amp.

Any suggestions?

the amp is 43cm x 30cm x 14cm. But that is the outside case. After I gut it I should have about a 60mm safe zone around the sides to play with. The 14cm height might be my biggest problem to be honest. But most cases arent much more than 14cm and I know my hard drive isn't that tall. It should be fine.
