Make USB stick bootable using OSX?

Hi guys,

I need to create a bootable USB stick to hold the installation files for FreeNAS.

My file server doesn't have a cd-drive so I can't install FreeNAS from cd, and I don't have a Windows machine to follow all the normal steps to make a USB drive bootable.

I've been unable to find any instructions online for making a USB drive bootable, when you only have access to OSX.

Any ideas?

I don't think it is possible with USB only Firewire.

I have 3 bootable OSX systems on external drives.

Actuallly it is possible with the intel macs, I have a bootable backup on my USB hard drive.

I've got an external HDD with a copy of the Leopard DVD on.

Perhaps creating an image of the FreeNAS CD in the same way (transferring over network) could work?

Not all USB sticks can be made bootable for windows, not sure if this applies the same to mac, doubt it...
