Now then, I know the good folks on here get all hot and sweaty when they see M badges on the back of BMWs which are not M related and frankly I tend to agree.

However, I have just bought nearly everything of interest off a Subaru P1 apart from the oily bits. Parts include P1 Alloys, P1 Prodrive interior, Prodrive Alcon brakes and P1 rear spoiler.

My question is regarding the spoiler. I'm not about to suggest my car has anything to do with Prodrive and am certainly not going to pretend that my car is one of the fabled 4 door P1s Prodrive used as test mules.

It doesn't bother me, but should I have the P1 emblem on the wing uprights filled in and painted?

This is the P1 emblem. The reason I bought the wing is because its very rare and has a nice bit of carbon fibre along the tip. I know its not to everyones tastes but I like it.

How much did all those parts cost you? Were they new or used?

All the parts are from a written off P1. I had only intended to get the seats and spoiler but the breakers offered me the wheels and the brakes for a total of £1200 inc delivery. If I sell the relevent parts on my car I should get about £1000 so all the above shouldn't cost more than £200. All the fitting I can do myself.

As far as I know, everything is in good condition and just needs a clean up. The brakes I can get reconditioned if they need it and bolt them straight on. My only concern is that the impact damage looks very close to the nearside front wheel so I'm hoping it hasn't taken a knock.

I wonder if you can still smell posh on the passenger seat :D

Not mega keen on the 22B bumper. Prefer the P1 personally. As for the lights, I've bought some PIAA spot lights to replace the fog lights in the front bumper - always been on my "To do" list.

Although its not standard, I want it to look as though genuine Subaru stuff has been used. I haven't yet got the P1 splitter but that won't be a genuine item (you only get those through Subaru with a legit P1 chassis number)

I saw the guy who filled in the P1 badge for his Type R STI. Think he got plenty of stick for it and the car wasn't even blue!!

The stuff hasn't arrived as yet so it may all turn out to be knackered. All 4 wheels buckled, the discs warped, the seats ripped and covered in blood and the spoiler scratched to heck and the carbon strip pinched!

Fingers crossed its all sound!
