I have some spair pcs around and i have decided i have plenty to make one decent media center. the mobo is 20cm by 24cm. I then have the PSU thats 14cm long by 8cm side. I basicly want to make a case for it myself, Can you point me some suggestions on what materials i should use? Eg wood ect, I have acess to a lazor cuttor aswell as a CNC machine. I would like it to look sleek and cool black possible?

Please point me a few suggestions.

First suggestion would be to use Metal, preferably Aluminum or possibly steel if your budget is tight. Might want to look through the forum stickies to get some ideas though.

I'd use aluminum then... It's easier to work with compared to titanium and stainless steel, and is excellent at conducting heat. It's also lightweight and brittle, so ideal for a media center box.

I used sheet alu, and some corner section alu from a DIY shop with the "&" symbol in the name, when building a case for my car pc. :) It was all drilled and riveted together, and I polished it up and now looks like chrome.
