Right ive had a random idea while looking around for jukebox's on ebay...

Is it possible to use some simple hardware and a touchscreen to make my own ?

I'd like to have a system that runs just the jukebox program and no windows etc... as in when you turn it on it loads the playback software ... thats it.

So i could hide the system and have the touchscreen monitor out on display ?

Is this possible ?

It is just a matter of finding the application software. You will still need an operating system to run it on, even if it launches that application full-screen without user intervention.

Non-karaoke version found: http://www.albumplayer.com/ . Not too expensive.

Can't summut like this be done with XBMC?? It handles Music quite nicely now!!.. I think there's a version of XBMC/Linux that boots to the Media interface!

I could be wrong though! :)
