Making a DVD problem

Hey guys

I am trying to make a DVD using dvd flick, now the video files i have are standard 4:3 when i create it and play it back it has squeezed the video in and added black bars on the side, looks ****!

Anyone got any tricks i can do to make it normal? or another DVD making program, (preferably free..)

You need to set the DVD project/timeline/whatever to 4:3 rather than 16:9.

Thanks for your reply, the project is set at 4:3 by default
if it helps i will upload some screenshots showing the original file and after dvd flick has finished with it?

That won't help, no

The project may be different to the timeline or whatever that program calls it. For example you could have a 4:3 project but with 16:9 menus and visa versa.

Russinating: i have solved it, there was a setting for 16:9 or 4:3, it was on 4:3 but deeper in the settings there was pixel aspect i think it was called, that was set to default , i moved it to 4:3 and it seems to have worked!
