making a gallry is it possible ???

hi all

im looking at making a gallrey in my next website attemtp my knowledge is limited at best but i get by with a little help.

i would like for the gallry to take shape like this

but when the images are clicked i would like them to open up using somthing like http://www.lokeshdhakar.com/projects/lightbox2/is that possible?

will both scripts work together or could i make things very difficult for myself?
