Not sure if this is the right place but I was just asked by someone to make a photo slideshow for her mother to be played at a huge Birthday Party. I'll be scanning the photos in and adding captions. I'm not sure about transition effects etc.
I'm not really sure what the format/standard is - do I make a DVD/CD, does it run off a computer/dvd player? Just wondering if anyone here has done it before and what application they've used.
