Hi,

I recently went on a business trip and I'm in the middle of making a sort of online log/diary with pictures.

Here's the first page...
http://www.theunderground.eclipse.co.uk/Newfolder/trip.htm

Currently, it's just paragraphs on a black background with photos at 800x600 centred between the paragraphs. It's 5 pages long.

I'm not happy with the layout. Looks a bit plain so I'm just looking for ideas.

Maybe I can have a lighter background that fades from one colour to another so that I can add a black border to my photos. I did think about thumbnails so that the photos aren't in your face making it look like there's hardly any text but I also like the way everything is on a page without opening new windows/tabs. Currently a paragraph could refer to the photo above or below it until you read through it so I'd like it to be clear in that sense too.

Unfortunately my skills are limited to what I've just told you. I know I could use MSN Spaces or MySpace but I don't like the adverts and I like the minimalistic look.

Any ideas?

Cheers :)

You might be better off setting up some sort of blog, blogger.com offers all sorts of templates for it and I'm sure the ads (if any) are pretty minimal.
