Making a watertight perspex box

I want to make a custom res for a watercooling setup I'm building.

Now obviously perspex is easy enough to come by and cut but what would anyone recommend to stick the pieces together to ensure a longlasting watertight seal?

Also, what bits would I need for my dremel to buff up the edges to make them look as good as a normal bayres? (this isn't going in a drive bay btw, thats just a reference point)

Some of that bathroom filler stuff, dries like rubber.. they use it around windows aswell dont they? If that stops water coming in under the window, i guess you can use it for the same thing

you mean silicone?

Its quite rubbery so I don't think it would hold the box in shape and also it tends to have a colour. I want clear so I can shine lights down the wals.

Use the perspex cube thingies that are used in perspex cases to keep the shape and seal it using clear silicon. Something like this http://www.tooled-up.com/Product.asp?PID=129872

perspex cube thingies? never had a perspex case so I'm not familiar..

also that stuff you pointed to concerns me with "Forms a permanently flexible rubber seal"

I was thinking more along the lines of a contact adhesive??

Silicone should hold it fine but if you are worried then superglue it first and then use the silicone

You need to use wedge pieces for added strenth, don't use a dremel to get a smooth/shiny edge, use wet % dry paper and elbow grease. Silicon sealent won't glue the pieces together, a hot glue gun will work.

Tensol 70 is what you should be looking for to stick the perspex together, its a two part catalyst cement which cures at ambient temperatures to produce high strength structural bonds.

Do not confuse it with Tensol 12 which is single component cement which produces a non-structural bond.

heat it up and perform a plastic weld on it. best way to stick it together and then appy silicone sealant.

I have some Zpoxy Quick Set made by Pacer that is a clear 2 part Epoxy Waterproof resin, was recomended it at a Model makers shop, its used to make model boats so should be just the ticket!
