Making an 800D quiet?

Hi,

I'm going to be moving my components over to an 800D pretty soon.

I was wondering how quiet these cases are? And what I could do to make it even quieter? Is it possible to match the noise levels of the sound proofed 550D for example? I am going to be using very quiet components and a watercooling system.

Thankyou!

Mines pretty quiet and I have 5x120mm fans (including a really cheap fan drawing air through the drive bays) and 3x140mm fans running at the minute with no fan controller.

If you are watercooling as you said then it should be very quiet - it'll probably average out at around 30dB under load, although that really depends on what fans and PSU you will be using.

Have you considered waiting around a couple of months for the 900D though?

At length!

If it were available now, I would likely buy it just because it has 100D's more than than the 800D... but the reality is I don't really need it. I don't game, and I have no use for high end GPU's, I just want a quiet machine, with enough QUIET cooling overhead to squeeze as much out of my CPU as possible.

Very likely I'll just have a 360 rad with a few low speed fans on it cooling the CPU. So rather than wait a few months for something I DEFINITELY don't need, I think I am ready to get an 800D which is likely to be overkill as well lol.
