How is it done? It's my girlfriend's birthday soon so I'd like to print out a picture of us we have but I think it'd look cool to make it black and white apart from our eyes to retain the colour, and maybe brighten them up a bit?

If anyone would be so kind this is the original picture. If you adjust it could you leave the quality as high as possible and the compression as low as possible please because I am going to blow it up to a reasonably big size.

Do you think it's a good idea? What other effect could I use to make it a nice picture to hang on the wall? Apart from editing out my ugly mug :p

Thanks in advance!

As a gift to her I'd expect it to have you in there, so I suppose you don't need to edit your ugly mug out :p I cant do this for you as I'm at work, but I'm sure someone will eventually.
Do you have any other pics without her face being cropped halfway? A more complete portrait might be nicer :) Just a thought.

Hi,

Not sure it is working too well - done two versions, one with colour eyes, and one more with you t-shirt in colour (just to see if it lightened the image a bit)...not sure either is working too well :(

not sure what more can be done to it to be honest :| its a nice idea for a present though.

P.S Thats done very roughtly...if you really like one of them I can do one a bit better for you :)

EDIT - one other with eyes brightened - looks a bit scary!

i have had a go but the composition of the current image is not the best example as above a more centered image of you both would look far better,

but heres my quick attempt

I know its a hassle but i feel some more professional looking pictures, perhaps a trio of them would look lovely.

If you cant get someone to take them, maybe use a timer?

But the above picture looks good.

That's really cool, thanks guys. I'll have a think about which one I like the most and get back to you!

My effort, I went for something a bit different (an excuse to play with a new plug-in tbh :D )
