Making garage usable?

One of the projects I'd like to complete this year is the properly utilise the garage.

It's a single wall detached garage that has no side door.
A side door would be great as it would allow access from the back garden directly.

With it being single wall how will I need to damp proof the inside? I don't full know how damp it gets in there. I don't think it's completely dry.
I assume this is expensive.

I'd like to store my ebike, Christmas stuff, work tools etc etc in there. So electrical stuff.


I'm sure you lot have a lot of experience in this!

The brickwork should already have a damp proof course.
Just make sure there is adequate ventilation.
