nope that was the reseller I sold it to, they sold it for twice the price they paid me all from said spam.

Give it a quick read, if you have a decent gpu(amd 5xxx pref) it can basically pay for its own electricity(find the right niche and it'll buy you gear you can use to earn more and get more gear), there's about 6.7mil in bitcoin last i checked, trade intelligently.

Hard work is certainly going to be something you need to put in....you shouldn't be looking for a get rich quick scheme. There is money to be made everywhere on the internet, you just need to root it out. Nobody is going to give you all the answers, it's about helping youself! Find some forums in an area you're interested in and do some research!
iirc I made £2700 from bagging and £1100 from matching, took about 2 months, 2 years ago. In the happy days of early 2000 you could make 10x that.

I just read up on that, what a clever scam.
It's a form of pyramid scheme (even though their website screams it's not). It's thinly veiled exterior harps on about "new ecurrency" and "huge benefits including no transaction fees". As more people become interested and the suppli of coins is finite, the price goes up, thus demand goes up as people want to make more money. It has no founder, it has no address, it has no contact details.
A lot of people are about to get burnt and they don't even know it yet
have been looking into this bitcoin thing, installed the client thing onto an old machine (want to test it before letting it loose on my main pc) and so far i have over 100,000 'blocks' downloaded and 8 connection, i have ticked 'generate coins' which puts 'Generating' into the status bar but Balance is still at 0.00??? am i doing something wrong/missing something? was expecting to start seeing 0.01 at the least
and also what is the value of each 1.00 coin and how do i spend this on 'gear'

ok i have let it onto my main pc! running a lot better on here with 35 connections and 50,000 blocks in just a few minutes, no 'khash rate' yet but i think i have to wait untill 110,000 again for this to kick in
still don't fully understand it yet
although its running a lot better then it did on the old pc its not really touching my sytem resources with CPU around 10% and with nothing to monitor the GPU usage im not sure what its doing with that but the GPU temp has not risen so im guessing its not touching that either
