Hi,

I need to make my PC quieter as its becoming annoying of how loud it is. The spec is

E6300 3.2Ghz 59C Full Load
Gigabyte DQ6
HIS ICEQ3 ATI X1950XT, Has an arctic cooler type cooler.
Two samsung spinpoints 250GB
Crossair 620W PSU

I think its the fans which come with my case which make the racket. I bought a Akasa Amber 120mm to see if it made a diffrence and it didnt. I need something very quiet yet pushes a fair ammount of air. I dont really have enough cash to get a Tuniq ect so the Ac7 should be ok might fiddle with the settings its at full whack atm.

Thanks.

you could get those fans and they wount improve your situation.

Even if they only produce 8dB's of noise, your HDD's will be producing atleast 21dB which would eliminate any gain in noise reduction.

Target the HDD's first. I would suggest you use rubber screws to fix them to the case or even an enclosure.

I dont know how silent those arctic coolers are but i would use one of those zalmans with fan control which you can crank up when gaming etc and turn it to low setting when not doing gpu intensive stuff.

Use rubbers grommits/screws to fix all fans and hdd's. this will eliminate the rattling noise produced by vibrations
