Making photos look 70's when uploading to FB

Why do people constantly insist on making their photos look from the 70's when uploading to FB with Instagram?

Instagram. Take a picture of some stupid ****ing confectionery, a coffee etc. Stick some stupid ass ****ing filter on it and act like they are some kind of ****ing photographer. Dicks.

Well you are a photographer if you take pictures. Doesn't mean you are any good art it mind as thats where the enthusiasts and professionals come in...

You can also show it to your Mum and she'll think you're a professional photographer.

Instgram is awful anyway. It makes the masses think they actually know stuff, some of the DoF stuff I've seen have been absolutely horrific.

Why is it instagram you have the problem with? People still take normal photos of their '****ing coffee' (see our very own raymond in the purchases threads) and other mundane crap whether it's through instagram or not.
