Making product tones...

So... I'm an electronic engineer and tasked with making some tones for the start up procedure of an electric bike. I have to do it with basic waveforms with a bandwidth from 2 to 3kHz. Does anyone have any knowledge they could help me out with? I've been working on this for a couple of days and can't come up with or find anything that's even half pleasant!

I guess if you can't sample it then do a FFT of the tones required.

what hardware have you got ?

That's great, thank you. I have my laptop and that's it. I can sample Windows audio through Audacity.
