So I work with a small anime/gaming event and have been trying to bring in PC gaming, I pushed for a budget to build lol machine's that would be upgradeable to at least get it to go ahead...

Long story short they want them to run Overwatch.
They are A8-7600 systems, 8GB 2100Mhz ram with garbage HDD, case and PSU combo's (Yes I know that's criminal) Cost around £150 each.... Yeah.

So... As you can imagine Overwatch runs like "expletive" and I need some advice to make that not the case...

Will a R7 240/R7 250 be enough in crossfire with the APU or do I just need to push for a much better GPU... I've been given a budget that equates to about £40 per GPU... lol

You need to tell the organizers of this event that with all due respect, they are morons. Nobody is going to want to play overwatch at an internet cafe let alone a gaming event with crap performance and low settings.

Overwatch is a game that almost demands a high end monitor and decent GPU to crank out 100+ frames per second with minimum input lag and response time. If you can only manage 40 FPS on low settings people are going to laugh and the experience will detract from, rather than add to the event.

Dual graphics with a POS AMD card and run LOL. Tell them if they want to run overwatch
1) shouldn't have gone with A8's

and

2) Gonna need GTX 1050's ($100 USish) minimum.

This is a joke right? One problem here is that you have unwittingly (and unbeknownst to both of you) lost credibility in their eyes by even coming away from that conversation giving them the slightest glimmer of a solution. What you should have done is just point at them and burst in to laughter, then fallen to the floor and rolled around in hysterics... you shouldn't have stopped until they physically picked you up, sat you down, gave you a glass of water and promised to give you more money to make this happen. Now you have to go back and say "sorry, this isn't going to happen", but this carries less weight than had you come out and said it in the very first instance. No win here I'm afraid... unless they stump up more cash.
