I have been considering switching to G Sync for sometime now and have been looking at a range of monitors and have decided on the monitor that suits my budget. I have been trying to watch as many reviews and try to see what the image quality is like over youtube but i am still none the wiser.

I am currently using a Acer S236HL which is a IPS display and the image quality is really good in my opinion and am looking at possibly making the switch to the Acer XB270HA G Sync monitor because this one is well within my budget.

Could anyone who owns one give me their opinions on the monitor? Is there a massive drop in colours and any loss of image quality compared to the monitor i am currently using?

Cheers.

Thanks for your respnses, i have watched a few video reviews and they do mention a drop in colour but the images on the video are hard to tell how bad unless they were side by side or seen with my own eyes.

I have GTX 970's in Sli and was concerned about the vram issue so did not want to push my luck and play it safe with a 1080p monitor, the G sync one from Acer seems to be value for money, still tho with parting with that kind of money i would like the image to still be pretty good.

It's seems to drop down 10-18 frames from time to time, normally when it's at a crucial time when there is abut of a battle going on. This can result in it looking really laggy. After doing a bit of reading about G Sync it says that it smooths out the FPS drop that is what I'm hoping it will do for me giving it a better experience instead of me doing that angry gamer thing and screaming at the screen lol JK

Sorry for the late reply, Titanfall and GTA V mainly now are the games I play.

Specs are:

I7 4770k (Stock)
Kingston Fury 16gb 1866mhz
Asus Ranger Vii
OcUK GTX 970 Sli (Stock)
Evga 1000w psu
Kingston SSD's
Seagate Baracuda 1TB HDD
Corsair H110i GT
Nzxt H440
Corsair AF & SP fans in spare mounts.

Could I be drawing too much power from the psu?
