Hi Guys

My current setup is starting to show its age and theres no upgrade path without an entire new generation change, wanting some advice on whether what im looking at will serve me well and future proof me for a little bit until i can justify a 5000 Nvidia card down the line.

Current Setup:
i7 9700K, 32GB DDR4 (2666), B365M mobo. (rest of my spec is in my signature)

Looking at
R5 9600X, 32GB DDR5 (6000), B650M mobo

Intending on just doing a straight transfer of all other components over to the new system, likely then going to follow in 12-18months time with a new GPU probably a 5060TI or similar.

My budget is tight hence the parts choices and i have no real interest in overclocking just looking for some solid frames at 1080/1440p in new AAA titles, looking at spending <£500 and as little as possible really.

Thanks

Xionic

Hi guys.

Thanks for your replies. To answer some of your questions.

Current mobo and case is MATX.
WiFi is not required but is a nice to have but 2.5gb ethernet is a must.
Cooler was a design choice and case will happily fit a taller one (I will not be reusing the current cooler)

Is the 7600 and 9600 really that close in performance that it's not worth the extra £50 at the moment.
