Making tracks on a long file when burned to CD

Hope this is the correct forum.

I have a long wav file that is a recording of someone speaking. I basically want to edit this file to have tracks on it so when I burn it to cd I can skip to the relevant section.

Does anyone know of a program that I can do this with?

Download Audacity - a great bit of kit (and freeware ).

That should allow you do do everything you want and more.

If you're using NERO you can do this within the software.

Drag the file into an AUDIO compilation
right click on the track
PROPERTIES
Go to Indexes, Limits & Split
and I leave the rest to you.
