Making XP login to company server - how?

I will try to explain this as best I can:

Basically this computer needs access to the comapny server 'stcserver' as its called.

There are users / passwords set up on the server, however how do I get the pc to login at the login screen? i.e. how is the server added to a drop down box.

You'll need to domain the machine. Is the client remote or on the company LAN?

I guess your talking about RDP.

First the server would need RDP enabled then from the XP machines go to Start > Run > Type "mstsc" and hit enter.

In there type the hostname or ip of the server. The user loggin on will need to at least be part of the remote desktop users

System > Computer Name

^ This will only work if both the client pc and server is on the same network
