Makro Members?

Does anyone know if i can use my parents card to buy things from the Makro store........? Or do they insist on the card holder/member being present?

If they don't check you at the entrance, you will probably need to pay in cash at the checkout.

When i used my dads friends they asked me for a headed letter from the business and a note saying you can use it.

Or they could just swipe the card and let you in.

I've been asked for this before when using my dads card, some of them dont care and let you in anyway. Better get the letter beforhand to save embarrassment

I use my bosses card all the time, they never ask for any form of ID and I just pay cash to avoid questions regarding the name on the card.

Are items VAT free at Makro? I vaguley remember going into a store with someone who had a card and they displayed both VAT and non VAT price... which do you pay?

As it's mainly for businesses, prices are displayed without VAT as businesses can claim them back. You still have to pay VAT but it gets added on at the till.

That'll be for business customers - they'll still pay the VAT up front but deduct it from what they owe the government for VAT charged on their services.
