Jetting off on a couples Holiday.

We will have 3 nights at Hotel Stripes which looks to be in the Kampung Baru district and then 7 days nights on Langkawi where I was planning on getting a car (wife not so keen to be on the back of a moped).

On Langkawi we are staying near Pantai Tengah

Any tips/suggestions?

We were looking to get the KLIA express from the airport, but with our luggage i'm wondering whether to just get a GRAB ride straight to the hotel. We're not on a super frifty budget and we'll be knackered after a 14 hour flight.

After a 14 hour flight, I would just get a Grab - bare in mind the basic cars can be relatively small, so be aware if you have a lot / large luggage.
Regarding some things to do KL: Batu caves, helipad bar (it's not fancy, but good views), Fuego at Troika (Argentinian / steak restaurants with good views but need to book in advance) - depends what you like. I enjoyed Hakka Restaurant if you like traditional chinese malay food, basic place (outside) but good food and is next to Pavilion mall if you go there.

I was in Langkawi in May, you can get Grabs pretty easily to travel around the island - not sure how it compares to car hire prices.
The Skybridge / cable car is worth a visit.
A lot of hotel staff were recommending visiting the mangroves and uninhabited islands, but I didn't get round to it as my trip wasn't very long.
