Not sure if this is a bit close to the wire, but my old clippers have died so I thought I'd appeal to the hive mind of GD to see if there's a better way to trim the old bagpipes.

Do those dissolving creams actually work or are they as perilous as the comedy reviews assert? Is there a particular set of trimmers better suited to delicate work?

I've nicked myself a few times so I'm keen to avoid that! All advice appreciated.

Dissolving creams generally are pretty harsh you really don't want to be putting them anywhere sensitive. And obviously there are limits to using wax around that area as a male without doing some damage :s

I have a Philips body groomer which is very good.

No nicking. Bagpipes rocking.

Not had much luck with the Philips - work great at first but batteries always seem to die after a few months and blunt quickly - had much more joy with Remington.

I've just done mine about 10 minutes ago and I use a Remington nose clipper but it comes with a straight edge clipper.
I've had it for decades and I'll be upset when it dies.
It gets a really close shave without snagging.

Revitol is what you are seeking, Sir.

You'll have to explain this. I googled and found an anti aging cream, but I don't think it'll get rid of the wrinkles in this case, and I'm not really after that result anyway.

Liking the sound of the Remington nose trimmer as I've reached an age where my nose has started to really sprout some hair. Two birds one stone and all that.

I think I might need something a bit more heavy duty after leaving it this long though.

Sorry, Revitol hair removal cream.

They make many creams, it would seem.

There is also one called Nad's (I kid you not). I believe it is essentially the same as the Revitol one.
